Back to the Aggies
With players leaving early how does that effect our schollie situation, or does it? With Bright being a converted WR and Thompson leaving I think we need a JC RB now. Everyone else is unproven at this point. We also need 2 JC DBs. So that leaves us with 5 schollie. We also need at least 1 JC WR. And 1 HS WR. What positions do we use on the last 3 schollies?LB,DE and HS S?

They’re kicking the tires on all jc rbs, wrs, and dbs. Gary is going to have to be creative to get us back up to 85 scholarships soon.

Re: Back to the Aggies
We are going to take 2 JuCo WRs, maybe 3, if not it will absolutely be 2 and a high school kid. Busta is correct, they are looking at JuCo RBs and DBs as well. BUT there are only 8 or 9 spots left and there are several holes to fill. We are going to be well below the 85 scholarship limit. With there only being 14 scholarship seniors on the 2019 team, expect to see several summer "push forward" signings.

Re: Back to the Aggies
That is one helluva wish list! I'm hoping you'll see us flip Hunter Hill from Washington State. Nomura will end up at USC. I do think you will be happy with the size of the JuCo WRs we are currently talking to.AggieUprising50 wrote: ↑January 1st, 2019, 10:35 amI would love to land Ula, Sione Vaki, Christian Folau, A Big WR, Ajani Carter, Lolani Langi and Tuasivi Nomura

Good to hear that we are speaking to Reggie. If we are signing 3 receivers I’d love to see us sign Reggie and Pierce and then a hs receiver like Carter.

Some of the FL kids we're looking at look pretty good. I also like the RB from Cali he's got a build very similar to Turbin.

I believe we can only sign 25 in any given class.
How do missionary guys like Sterzer work? Do they count the year they sign it the year they come home?

I think you’ll see the qb from Utah county commit here. Btw I think that kid has the it factor. Also can’t spell his name but I’d bet this guy will sign here as well.

I don't know how much it's grown or not, but that Washington State kid would probably like it here a lot if he jives with our coaches.

I'd be shocked if Legas actually commits to us. His family are huge cougar fans. His dad actually posts on CB. His brother is also going to the Y, I'd imagine he'd WO there vs a schollie from us.

Don't be so sure, I have it on very good authority that Legas and fellow Orem Tiger Hunter Hill are taking their offers from the Aggies very seriously.JFW_AGGIES wrote: ↑January 1st, 2019, 3:57 pmI'd be shocked if Legas actually commits to us. Pierce looked good and fast! The other two JC WR didn’t stand out much to me on tape, but have good size and would fill a need.

Re: Back to the Aggies
A couple of other Utah guys to watch are Remedy Akoteu and Caden Hilborn. I know Remedy wanted to visit here but was favoring Boise. Although Gary could change things there. He did not commit in the early period and i think he may have wanted to see who the coaches would be here.

I completely agree. After watching his highlights, a few characteristics really standout.
1. He's fast AND agile - not just a sprinter; weaves through defenders and appears to run decent routes as he was able to get open against zone schemes as well as man coverage.
2. If you are going to play press coverage against a WR that is four steps faster than anyone on your defense, you probably should jam him coming off the line of scrimmage. Sheesh.
