Recruiting wish list
With only a handful of scholarships available my wish list includes:
Tyreese Jackson
Ajani Carter
Brandon Pierce
Hunter Hill
Cooper Legas
Jojo Hawkins
Wild card - Liloa Kapiko (probably not taking another DE but I like him)
Push forward - AJ Vongpachanh (just got a Kansas offer so I doubt it)
Aiming for the stars - Lolani Langi
Also, I’m assuming that Jaylen Warren has committed. What is your best case scenario?

Legas, Hill, Carter, Pierce, Jackson, Warren, Taquelin Harris, Caden Hilborn, Liloa Kapiko, and Hawkins. That's 10, but I'm pretty sure we don't have ten left. I think we have like 8-9, and this is where I summon aggies22 out of his lamp to confirm.

Re: Recruiting wish list
Twittersphere makes it look promising for at least one of these recruits.
We might need more than AJ V. to push foward if we want all these guys. Maybe Cooper Legas can push forward as well.
Hill, Carter, Pierce, Jackson, Warren, Taquelin Harris, Caden Hilborn, Tatum and Hawkins. Who knows on numbers.
Strange the lack DLinemen.

Re: Recruiting wish list
Looks like Jackson will visit CSU and Toledo the next two weeks. Although Toledo just got a commit from another rb.

Not a good sign if they leave without a commit usually

Yup, which is why it’s so discouraging to come away from a “big” weekend with only one kinda underwhelming commit.

I imagine the Logan weather isn't helping. We have sunny skies and no snow in SLC, while Logan is covered in Snow and freezing.ineptimusprime wrote: ↑January 20th, 2019, 10:19 pmYup, which is why it’s so discouraging to come away from a “big” weekend with only one kinda underwhelming commit.

Re: Recruiting wish list
I’m less worried about this. Following Texas recruiting, I have seen a lot of times that guys will not commit if they have other visits lined up afterwards. Don’t want to lose an opportunity to get an OV somewhere.

Agreed. I take it as we are recruiting guys with good options. And then visiting means we have a pretty good chance.YoungBloodAggie wrote: ↑January 21st, 2019, 6:30 amI’m less worried about this. Re: Recruiting wish list
Rajae Johnson has NO interest in USU. When one of my colleagues reached out to him to see if the new staff had been in contact, Johnson replied, "who's USU?"

Re: Recruiting wish list
Here's where it gets a little tricky. If we are still counting the verbal commitments of DE Logan Maxwell and ATH Akili Arnold, then we should have 6 left. IF we aren't counting Maxwell and Arnold since they aren't signed and in the books, then we would still have about 8.YoungBloodAggie wrote: ↑January 20th, 2019, 6:19 pmLegas, Hill, Carter, Pierce, Jackson, Warren, Taquelin Harris, Caden Hilborn, Liloa Kapiko, and Hawkins. This must feel like a huge get after beating out Abilene Christian, Bowling Green, New Mexico St, Southern Mississippi, Texas St, Texas-San Antonio, UTEP and P5 powerhouses Kansas and Illinois.

No rankings, just who I think we need the most. I think you can take Hawkins off my list because I think Tatum took that spot. I still hope we land the other five.LoveMyAggies wrote: ↑January 21st, 2019, 7:40 pmDo you have rankings of your list?GeorgiaAggie wrote: ↑January 20th, 2019, 5:50 pmWith only a handful of scholarships available my wish list includes:

Still room for Hawkins? (Since we seem to be stocking up on 180 lbs. skill players)

I think Cooper would be a push forward. I know Hawkins is rated above Tatum on the recruiting websites but I like both players. Hawkins is a great athlete but undersized, Tatum has elite size for a dB. Still would love to see us take Hawkins, preferably over a jc dB but I agree I don’t think we have room unless he agrees to be a push forward.

Re: Recruiting wish list
If Cooper Legas signs with us, there is no way he will count toward the 2019 class. He will either be a push forward or a sign and send.
As far as Hawkins is concerned, we gave him a home visit last week, so I would imagine there is still high interest in him.
I still think we'll get Hunter Hill but I think Liloa Kapiko is headed for San Diego State. I wasn't a huge fan of Kapilo's anyway.
