Things have slowed a bit. When can we expect the handful that are left to sign?

I'm 41 and I grew up in Smithfield and I'm happy to have provided some amusement.TheAKAggie wrote: ↑December 19th, 2018, 11:14 amHaha, how old are you? It’s not a generation thing, it’s an age thing. Teenagers by and large suck. They sucked in bygone eras and they suck today. Sure there are exceptions, but for the most part teenagers have always been annoying and apathetic.YoungBloodAggie wrote: ↑December 18th, 2018, 7:46 pmIt's almost like they were all raised by bad parents.aggies22 wrote: ↑December 18th, 2018, 5:58 pmI think the lack of caring about anything is just this generation. Take a hard look at the class so far -- are any of them going to start Game 1 against Wake Forest? Gary still has a lot of holes to fill as he said himself today. We need some JC and Grad Transfers to fill in at many positions.

I think Lavelle has a shot at starting. One of the offensive lineman may start as well. The wr Lampkin probably doesn’t start but sees snaps.

Re: 2019 USU FOOTBALL SIGNING DAY CENTRAL
looking at BSU class we really need to bring in some impact players. They currently have one of the best G5 classes ever. This is who we're competing against. FSU and Nevada also have very good signings. If you look at where we need help ASAP, I don't know how many impact players there are out there. We need a big impact WR and a Stud at Safety.

Can we take the offer to Koby Perry as a sign that there isn't a lot of faith in Lamar Dawson at safety next year?

I don't know how good Dawson is, but with all the injuries we had this yr in our secondary I would have though he would have played.

I wouldn't have toy'd with the USC shirt before showing the Buffs colors. They're in your division, and the Trojans will never suck for long.

Hunter Hill did not sign with wsu today. Hopefully that means we get a visit from him. Also noticed that bryce beekman signed with wsu.

We may actually have a shot at Hunter Hill, especially if we are still pursuing his high school teammate Cooper Legas. Don't be shocked when we get an official visit from both kids.

LaValle is already a student of the game at a very young age. He's going to turn some heads in spring ball.UtahStizzle wrote: ↑December 19th, 2018, 10:49 pmLavelle at 240lbs already is crazy. Re: 2019 USU FOOTBALL SIGNING DAY CENTRAL
Anyone know the status of the two Arizona boys? I know Arizona gets confusing because of daylight savings but did these guys also get confused what day it was?
Also the status of Taylor?
Also the status of Taylor?

My colleague learned that Motes and Taylor will be signing in February. I'm not sure what's up with Maxwell. I was told he would be signing.

Re: 2019 USU FOOTBALL SIGNING DAY CENTRAL
So through an extensive Q and A with Jackson Owens, my colleagues have learned that Owens signed an acceptance letter on the 19th and he will be signing an LOI in the summer. That will make his scholarship a push forward to the 2020 class but still part of the 2019 team. I expect us to still look to sign at least one more if not two offensive lineman. My predictions? We land Cole Thomas from Washington and Hunter Hill flips from Washington State.

I think I saw Thomas was offered by wells at tech. Hopefully we can get him to sign.aggies22 wrote: ↑December 24th, 2018, 8:14 amSo through an extensive Q and A with Jackson Owens, my colleagues have learned that Owens signed an acceptance letter on the 19th and he will be signing an LOI in the summer. How does that work? The staff can just rescind an offer after he’s been committed for over a year ? That doesn’t seem right.aggies22 wrote:My colleague has learned that Kani Taufa no longer has an offer from us.

Re: 2019 USU FOOTBALL SIGNING DAY CENTRAL (PART 2)
Well every school in the country does it. Players too. It sucks, but a school isn’t required to take you if you’re not the player they thought you would develop into.2004AG wrote:How does that work? Re: 2019 USU FOOTBALL SIGNING DAY CENTRAL (PART 2)
I know it doens't seem cool but it does happen and some schools are even more cold blooded about it. Frank was the primary recruiter and trust me it's not easy for him to have to tell a kid that things just aren't going to work out.

Re: 2019 USU FOOTBALL SIGNING DAY CENTRAL (FEBRUARY)
We may see a discrepancy in preferred walk-ons on our official list. I'm not sure which commits to the old staff are going to hold over. So I'm not sure about Jack Drews, Larenz Redd, Nehemiah Shird and Logan Wood. The remaining players are obviously already admitted to USU or they are committed to the new staff.

Akili Arnold to Oregon State. He finally got that PAC-12 shot he's been pining for.
