Buckfever?
Did I get accurate info that a terrible circumstance befell Buckfever? Hoping it isn't accurate.
Re: Buckfever?
Yes, that is correct. John Israelsen is my uncle, and other nephews and relatives are on this board.
Here are some details about his condition. He is hanging on, but all indications are that it won’t be much longer.

My goodness, that's terrible. I know you're a family of great people and great Aggies. Is there anything in particular the family needs, or are donations the best way to go?

Terrible. He's one of the most enjoyable posters on this board. My deepest sympathies to your family.dogie wrote: ↑May 7th, 2019, 6:24 pmYes, that is correct. John Israelsen is my uncle, and other nephews and relatives are on this board.

And at the risk of sounding inappropriate at the moment, I have observed many times that about half of Cache Valley either is, or is married to, an Israelsen. Yours is one of the most prolific families I've ever encountered.

If anyone is inclined to make a small donation, I’m sure it would be appreciated.
I’ll make sure that details of the funeral are posted here once things progress to that point.
Re: Buckfever?
That is true. Any Israelsen you’ll ever meet in Utah descended from the Mormon pioneers Tellef Israelsen and his wife Maren Marcusdatter, who settled in Hyrum in 1864.LKGates wrote: ↑May 7th, 2019, 7:03 pmTerrible. I hope he can find a way to pull through, but it doesn't sound promising. Its a SAD day in Aggie land! He is one of the best!

...and to think that his second to last day he posted on the forums he said the following in regards to a young Aggie family in need of help with their newborn: (thread link)
fast forward 1 month and he now has his own gofundme page. Man life can change in a blink of an eye.

Re: Buckfever?
That is horrible news. He was my assistant scoutmaster. I still remember his home video he made at the dairy with Ned(?) titled Too Young to Die which seems appropriate at this time. Best to his family.

Yes, I was just thinking about this very irony when I was on his gofundme page.Aglicious wrote: ↑May 8th, 2019, 12:57 pm...and to think that his second to last day he posted on the forums he said the following in regards to a young Aggie family in need of help with their newborn: (thread link)

I don't know buckfever personally, but the way that he responded to the needs of that Aggie family (who I'm almost certain that he doesn't know personally either) was really touching.
Go Aggs!

Did anyone ever digitize the movie?

John died last night around 11 p.m. If you wanted to donate to the gofundme site, now is the time. His funeral is tentatively planned for Saturday at noon.
