Generally a non factor except for snowfall in the which the field was cleared of snow before the "boys" were allowed to take the field. It would seem our society has become soft in so many areas.

My concern is not the softness or hardness of society, but rather how does our field compare with others in terms of slipping, sliding, and running through puddles?

We have a good drainage system under the turf.. The turf itself is like most synthetic turf and can be a slippery but
with proper cleat selection it should not be a huge problem.

The main issue is in the stands as water falls off the new facility or cascades down the rows of seats. The Hawaii game had heavy rain, and little issues on t he field. Hawaii threw for almost 400 yards.

It got pretty windy here for a bit when a big part of this storm came through but it’s died back down. I don’t think rain will be an issue but wind would be. Also Coach Andersen said they’ve been practicing with wet balls all week. Hopefully we aren’t troubled by elements like we seemed to be last year.

Practicing with wet balls could cause jock itch.
