Re: SDSU Tickets
You bolded half of what I said and ignored the first part. If SDSU has 9 losses in the MWC, which is what you said, you will not be the #1 NET team. 9 losses in conference will have losses against some pretty bad NET teams. They won’t care if you went undefeated in the OOC, if you lose 9 conference games, you will not be an at large team. Plain and simple. Do you not understand how the NET works genius? If you lose games you drop. The worse the loss the bigger you drop. Try again.SDSU wrote:no we don't. Do you know how NET rankings work genius? we are the #1 team in the country. NET ranking is the only ranking that matter. Basically if you are #1 in NET like SDSU; that means you have the best resume out of ALL of the D1 team.scotlandog wrote: ↑December 24th, 2019, 9:00 pmHaha. If SDSU gets 9 losses in the MWC they will need to win the MWC tournament. Given that they lucked out at home against the worst team in conference, 9 losses may be a possibility. I think if SDSU takes 4-5 losses in conference they will be sweating come selection Sunday and it won’t be a 3 next to their name if they get in.
If you can earn a place in the dance before January you sure can lose it as well come March. Keep overlooking your conference schedule though, it doesn’t matter.
We are just playing for seeding at this point.
Utah St has 2 or possibly 3 cracks at the #1 team in the country.

Re: SDSU Tickets
I just got a notification that they are opening up a limited number of seats...looks like they’re in the upper corner of the student section.

Re: SDSU Tickets
I am glad they opened up some more tickets up. With the Christmas break I doubt we would have filled up the student section. We already sold out the general tickets up, but this will let us get closer to actually filling the stadium. I still think there will be a really solid student crowd for the game.

Re: SDSU Tickets
Based on the poor student turnout and overwhelming community support for the Eastern Oregon game I'd say this is a good idea to bring out the largest crowd possible. The students haven't used more than 2/3 of their allotment to a game yet this season.

If you are from the 303, being from Colorado, you probably have friends that are Colorado State fans and heard from them their version of what happened with the hail mary last year, that our guy shoved their guy out of bounds.

Re: SDSU Tickets
Community always shows up for the christmas break games and the students are never there. This game is different though because students often get back before Saturday night. I predict the student section will be completely full.aggiesdotcom wrote: ↑December 31st, 2019, 4:18 pmBased on the poor student turnout and overwhelming community support for the Eastern Oregon game I'd say this is a good idea to bring out the largest crowd possible. I hope you are right. I know I never arrived before sunday night being from Salt Lake county. Hopefully the good game will bring them back a day early.Dkdavis wrote: ↑December 31st, 2019, 5:15 pmCommunity always shows up for the christmas break games and the students are never there. Yeah, I guess I flew in and it took 26 hours of travel time so I always had a buffer. But the Saturday before break was over parties were always .stewusu98 wrote:I hope you are right. Re: SDSU Tickets
Tickets going fast. The 400 in section H the ticket office opened yesterday afternoon were already down to 120 this morning and now at about 35. It looked like they saved the top 5 rows of H for students but at this point, it would be wise to open up the remaining 150 in that section. I've also always thought that they should open up the student section as GA to any unclaimed seats at about 10-15 minutes to tip off for any game, this would be a good game to do that should students not have returned yet (an entirely unknown factor for this game).

I like the idea of opening up The tickets 10 minutes before the game but I’m not a fan of selling them long before they know what kind of turn out they are gonna get.aggiesdotcom wrote: ↑January 1st, 2020, 12:20 pmTickets going fast. Re: SDSU Tickets
I get what you're saying but I'm sure a big part of the discussion was centered around that it is during the break and even during the non break in November the students were barely breaking 50% attendance on the most attended games this year. In the end, the AD has to find a balance between honoring student seating (when the students show enough interest to warrant that respect) and also paying the bills. I think they've handled this game how they should.Dkdavis wrote: ↑January 1st, 2020, 12:49 pmI like the idea of opening up The tickets 10 minutes before the game but I’m not a fan of selling them long before they know what kind of turn out they are gonna get.aggiesdotcom wrote: ↑January 1st, 2020, 12:20 pmTickets going fast. Re: SDSU Tickets
It's always going to be impossible for the AD to predict how many students are going to be at any given game, break or no-break. Like there are students that are firmly going to come back Sunday night and no earlier and students that are hardcore enough to come back Saturday for a game, any game (more often, that have enough interest in being back in Logan and/or little enough interest in being back home to come back early for other reasons). And alot of students in a gray area. Like some will come back one day early for a game, any game even an Eastern Oregon, while others will come back as long as it's a division 1 school, others will come back for a halfway decent opponent like a Colorado State, and others will come back early for and ONLY for San Diego State. And some will come back for a game on Saturday but no early, others have the cutoff at the Friday or Thursday before the end of break on top of the opponent variables. And the variable of being interested in going to the game already being back. Some are going to go, others will go as long as one friend goes, others will only go in a big group of friends that aren't back yet, and some are going to be the only one back that doesn't have to work during the game. And on top of all that, the variable of interest in going to see the Aggies is going to change from year to year.

Re: SDSU Tickets
My son and daughter are going to be there. They are flying in Saturday in time to make the game (flights ended up working in their favor). My son said that most of his friends will be in town in time. I think student student section will be close to full if not totally full.Aggie84025 wrote: ↑January 1st, 2020, 6:18 pmJust went to the ticket website and there are no tickets available for the SDSU game.

That is awesome. Hoping we can win tonight and then that makes it a huge game on Saturday.GeorgiaAggie wrote: ↑January 1st, 2020, 6:57 pmMy son and daughter are going to be there.
