New JUCO Safety Commit
Had FBS offers from Akron, UNLV, UTEP, and Old Dominion. A bunch of FCS offers too, but who really cares about those?
I do like the length we are adding to the defensive backfield. I was gettin’ sick o the smurfs.

Re: New JUCO Safety Commit
Seems like a good athlete. Seeing a lot of variation on his listed size. Is he 6’ 180 or is he 6’2” and 210? Sounds like he’s played some linebacker too. He going to be a stryker?

Re: New JUCO Safety Commit
Devin is not sure what spot he'll play, so I would say both safety and striker are still in play for him. For now, I'll call him a safety.AGGIEinIOWA wrote: ↑January 8th, 2023, 10:28 pmSeems like a good athlete. Seeing a lot of variation on his listed size. Is he 6’ 180 or is he 6’2” and 210? Re: New JUCO Safety Commit
Aggie Blue Dye has 3 years to go and has potential at LB and S. Good add with offers to UNLV and UTEP, so he was a true G5 level recruit.

I think we need to add a couple but I'm not aware of us currently targeting any. WR and OL has been a BIG focal point of interest.

Re: New JUCO Safety Commit
We added Mosely. With Tuiaki and Paea returning from injury our numbers will be just as good on the interior with the DL and we'll be bigger. They recruited the edge heavily knowing we were losing some there and I think we've built the bodies there in the early signing period. I don't think we'll see any other DLs added unless they are the kind of guy you have to take no matter position.
Incidentally, saw Greiszak ended up committing to Cincy.

IIRC Jermaine Dye returned kicks and punts for the Aggies and was electric, but then committed the unpardonable sin right?

It feels like JUCO guys don't get picked up by P5 teams anymore. P5 teams now look at high school recruits and transfer portal guys. I guess a G5 program like us has a chance to score some pretty good gems in the JUCO ranks. Hopefully.

Re: New JUCO Safety Commit
What's big about the JuCo guys right now is that this class is the group of dudes that had their high school recruiting ambushed by covid. Lots of these guys may have gone to FBS schools but once the NCAA allowed the extra year of eligibility, the class of 2020 was doomed.Aggiealum13 wrote: ↑January 9th, 2023, 8:36 pmIt feels like JUCO guys don't get picked up by P5 teams anymore. I think Committed =/= Signed, right?
Is this tweet correct, has Dye signed, or is he committed?
Is early signing period still open, or was that just the one week?
