The schools that got the overpayment should obviously be the ones who repay it.

I don't. Keep it regional. You expand for two reasons: Money or survival. Those teams aren't going to add money and we may be safer as a conference right now than we have been in a long time.

Who knows if either plays USU again, but one OOC game will be gone from both schedules.

All for not. This happened just as most speculated it would after USC/UCLA left.
Lawyers will get involved with the MW/PAC merger or whatever occurs.

That hole in the 2024 schedule might get filled. Utah has Baylor and BYU scheduled in Salt Lake for OOC. That’s three teams that are now looking for a 2024 OOC game they could play as an away game. Get Bovee on the phone.NowhereLandAggie wrote: ↑August 4th, 2023, 4:47 pmWho knows if either plays USU again, but one OOC game will be gone from both schedules.

There is money. Apple TV deal was there for the PAC 12. We are still under contract, and PAC 12 still has contracts with serious money. Something to think about if we can get the MWC-PAC merger to happened is getting decent bowl games for a change.

Re: MWC and the Pac12
I am virtually certain you are wrong. As I understand it, to receive an NCAA autobid, a conference has to have at least six schools that have played together for eight years. (Or something like that. I forgot the exact numbers.) The PAC-12 is below that threshold now (assuming the Four Corners schools are gone), so they can't invite more members without losing their autobid for X number of years. When you combine exit fees and lost NCAA tournament credits, I don't think the numbers add up. The leftover schools would have to reorganize under the MWC to keep their autobid, and the MWC won't be kicking anyone out.ChowderAggie wrote: ↑August 4th, 2023, 6:01 pmMy guess for new PAC 12

Wonder what the MW tv clauses include. Would we be able to renegotiate? We could probably get some apple money too, since they want to be in the game, but hopefully second tier to ESPN or whatever.
