BA will be looking for a new defensive analyst.
Arrested for murder after a grand jury indicted him in Tennessee. Just crazy.

How many of these are we going to allow before Blake is gone. Seriously. Every year there is something with his staff or team. Like stated above, we can’t go an offseason without some type of felony. Good heck. Get the program together Blake.

He had already taken a job with TAMU, but, yeah.

Sorry, we're pissed off about someone who committed a crime before coaching here and got arrested for it after coaching here? Good hell

Re: BA will be looking for a new defensive analyst.
Blaise is currently sitting in the Cache County jail waiting for extradition to Tennessee. His father Trooper Tayler coached several years for Blake at Arkansas State and is now the Associate Head Coach at Texas A&M. I suspect that Blake is close with the family and is as shocked and disgusted as everyone else with this news.

He will not. But he can get us to 6-6 and get blown out by an awful team in a bowl.Bullnamed_gus wrote: ↑March 15th, 2024, 10:53 amHow many of these are we going to allow before Blake is gone. Re: BA will be looking for a new defensive analyst.
The hiring of Blaise was announced by Utah State on June 28th, 2023. The incident that occurred resulting in his arrest was on February 25th, 2023. There is NO WAY anyone (except for Blaise perhaps) could have known that these serious charges were coming down the pipe at the time. At least law enforcement did their due diligence and will attempt to get justice for the young lady and her unborn child. I really like your stuff Gus BUT you are off base for putting any blame on Blake for this dude.Bullnamed_gus wrote: ↑March 15th, 2024, 10:53 amHow many of these are we going to allow before Blake is gone. Maybe we should build a prison and keep the coaches and players under surveillance at all times. See how many coaches and players will be left on the team. none.Bullnamed_gus wrote: ↑March 15th, 2024, 10:53 amHow many of these are we going to allow before Blake is gone. Seriously. Sad, but no causality/enabling with either Coach Anderson or USU.

Re: BA will be looking for a new defensive analyst.
For some reason, the arresting agency is listed as the North Park police instead of the US Marshalls, so maybe they were backing up the Marshalls. The crime is listed as Fugitive from Justice instead of Murder, so you have to wonder if he was told somehow he needed to return to Nashville to face the murder charge then racked up another charge for fugitive from justice for not returning to Nashville, or maybe Cache County just lists the charge as "Fugitive from Justice" since he is not being charged with any crime he committed here.Huddleclubber wrote: ↑March 15th, 2024, 11:16 amBlaise is currently sitting in the Cache County jail waiting for extradition to Tennessee. Re: BA will be looking for a new defensive analyst.
My guess is because the NPPD served the warrant handed down from his indictment on the charges. I imagine he lives somewhere in North Logan and that is why they were the arresting agency. It's their jurisdiction.GameFAQSAggie wrote: ↑March 15th, 2024, 2:17 pmFor some reason, the arresting agency is listed as the North Park police instead of the US Marshalls, so maybe they were backing up the Marshalls. Re: BA will be looking for a new defensive analyst.
Former LEO here. Fugitive warrants or extraditable warrants are issued by the agency where the crime was allegedly committed, but carried out by a local arresting authority. There is a "catch all" charge that is listed by the local authority (Fugitive from Justice) that is listed on arresting paperwork, but essentially, the jurisdiction that issued the warrant is the arresting agency and the agency that places the person in custody is only agreeing to maintain custody of the person until the arresting agency can carry out the extradition (usually has to happen within 72 hours or the person will be released). That's why the arresting authority wouldn't list Murder as a charge, they have no jurisdiction over where the crime occurred and are not issuing any charges.
People having out of state warrants is very common, but most are not extraditable, extradition is generally reserved for violent crimes. When a suspect is flagged as having an out of state warrant, the local authority has to confirm the warrant through a national database, contact the arresting (or issuing) department and confirm whether or not that department wishes to use its resources to facilitate extradition; this entails then sending commisioned officers to take custody of the suspect and transport him or her back to where the crime allegedly occurred. US Marshalls are not always (and in my experience, rarely) involved in fugitive warrants, but I worked for a very large department. It's certainly possible that smaller departments would use Marshalls to assist in warrant execution.

I'd imagine this crime was being investigated last summer, right?

Re: BA will be looking for a new defensive analyst.
The good thing about THIS incident is that it's mainly Arkansas State and him being a former ASU player, connected to it as far as ESPN and national headlines are concerned, and USU and his position last year is mostly just the main headline locally.FromLItoLogan wrote: ↑March 15th, 2024, 7:22 pm
Not that it matters much but at least in this post it has TAMU mentioned and not us.
Maybe I shouldn't use the term "good" cause it's a bad thing this happened, and that it brings us as much bad press locally as it does(along with our identification in the national articles) and a better term is a mitigating thing, that it's Arkansas State getting more of the bad press and Texas A&M getting about as much. Even Auburn and Trooper being a coach there and Blaise attending high school there has gotten some bad press over this year.
