Re: MW watch party
CSU played good defense but man that shooting was awful last night....That was the first time I've ever watched a game that instead of saying Virginia hasn't scored for this many minutes (that seems the standard), they said "Virginia hasn't scored since 10:48 EST" a the bottom of the screen. Which because of Half time was always an hour that had past. It was crazy.

Re: MW watch party
Agreed, Boise may win but Colorado is way more deserving of being there than Virginia. Colorado will be a very tough out for Boise. If Boise wins it is good for the conference but if they lose seeing Boise and Leon tears is fine by me as well.sam tingey wrote: ↑March 20th, 2024, 8:51 amI know Boise will have a much more difficult time with Colorado tonight but it is an awesome situation, if Boise wins, hurray, more money. If they lose, hurray, Boise lost!

Re: MW watch party
It was worth asking if the #4 MWC team UNLV deserved to be in but now I'm wondering if even Wyoming would have finished top 3-4 in the ACC after seeing how bad UVA actually is.

Re: MW watch party
They had a bunch of open looks, some were from 10 feet and in. The literally couldn’t throw it in the ocean last night, regardless of the defense.kofdog wrote: ↑March 20th, 2024, 10:07 amCSU played good defense but man that shooting was awful last night....That was the first time I've ever watched a game that instead of saying Virginia hasn't scored for this many minutes (that seems the standard), they said "Virginia hasn't scored since 10:48 EST" a the bottom of the screen. Re: MW watch party
At half time I was worried that CSU was going to blow it. Virginia didn't score for 10 minutes and were only down 13. Or maybe I was just having flashbacks to how quickly we lost a 17 point lead against SDSU.kofdog wrote: ↑March 20th, 2024, 10:07 amCSU played good defense but man that shooting was awful last night....That was the first time I've ever watched a game that instead of saying Virginia hasn't scored for this many minutes (that seems the standard), they said "Virginia hasn't scored since 10:48 EST" a the bottom of the screen. Re: MW watch party
I think that the historical Princeton advantage due to their unique offense (Do they still run that?) would be mitigated by MWC teams that have to prepare for AFA 1, 2 or 3 times.sam tingey wrote: ↑March 20th, 2024, 10:14 amDoes UNLV beat Princeton tonight? I think it is likely

Re: MW watch party
I've not seen Princeton principally run their offense like Air Force. There are some elements and plays that would employ that spacing and cuts, but Princeton does a lot of things well. This will be a tough game, but if the right version of UNLV shows up, they should win.SectionBAggie wrote: ↑March 20th, 2024, 10:44 amI think that the historical Princeton advantage due to their unique offense (Do they still run that?) would be mitigated by MWC teams that have to prepare for AFA 1, 2 or 3 times.sam tingey wrote: ↑March 20th, 2024, 10:14 amDoes UNLV beat Princeton tonight? The NIT is proving that Dayton should not be in the NCAA tournament.
These teams were the top 2 teams in the A-10

Game wasn’t as close as the final score. UNLV dominated the second half.
So far so good for the MW revenge tour.

Re: MW watch party
UNLV's quadrant in the NIT had 3 road teams win out of 4 games. I am guessing that UNLV will now play at BC.

Seeing MW refs in the First 4. On Friday would we rather see mediocre refs from our pool that are at least familiar with the team or a completely new crew?

That was a hard half to watch. Like watching someone run into brick walls over and over.

Re: MW watch party
He’s slow a bad passer takes bad shots and his defense is terrible.
Again I’d love for him to have another year of eligibility.
Without an elite point guard that creates for him…. He’s rubbish.

the grind is on. leon rice just called a timeout with 15:46(something) in the 2nd half, and my spidey sense says the game's getting away from boise.

I hate games like this. I had USF +8 and the clawed back for what looked like an easy cover and now OT and I have to sweat it out all over again. Be nice to see the Dons win outright.
