Our current Guys haven’t portaled, officially.
Outside of Falslev, anyone know why none else of our Rotation players have entered the portal Yet? I’m sure they’re still being recruited, but it seems weird that they haven’t. Is there anything keeping them entering the portal
Until a certain date? IE nil deals, or whatever?

Some are very invested in the program and are waiting to say who will be the next head coach.Bullnamed_gus wrote: ↑March 28th, 2024, 8:33 pmOutside of Falslev, anyone know why none else of our Rotation players have entered the portal Yet? I am guessing most are just waiting to see who the new coach will be. I guarantee they are being contacted by teams without being in the portal yet.

Or they want to run it back for the championships. I believe that the most. Especially for Great, he’d rather dominate the league than go to the BIG10

Anyone know why falslev doesn’t show up on 247’s transfer portal? Brenchley showed up within minutes, but fals still isn’t there more than a day after the news broke.

Whoever ends up with the Gig, we will know right away what the players think. It will be very telling if we hired the right guy or not.

I don’t know if that’s true… people left when smith came in, people left when Odom came in, and people left when sprinkle came in. I’d love to not lose any players, next year could be special. But it’s highly likely we lose most our productivity, especially with the loose (nonexistent) portal rules.

Like last year with the mass exodus with a new coach that turned out pretty well. Give the new coach a chance before thinking the sky is falling.

What's as much of a telling sign is if the guy is popular enough to be followed here.flying_scotsman2.0 wrote: ↑March 28th, 2024, 10:01 pmI don’t know if that’s true… people left when smith came in, people left when Odom came in, and people left when sprinkle came in. Can’t you just let a guy hope? Besides Utah States average crowd is double Washington’s and Washington doesn’t have the Hurd. If Great stays he will be an Aggie legend forever. People will talk about him in 50 years as they pass a picture of him hanging on the wall.Machismo wrote: ↑March 28th, 2024, 9:07 pmBasketballAgg wrote: ↑March 28th, 2024, 8:57 pmOr they want to run it back for the championships. I can appreciate the sentiment, but this generation is wired different. They don’t think about the future or record books like we used to. They focus on the attention and fame in the moment. They want the money now more than a legacy. I would love to be wrong in this instance.Blue Sage wrote: ↑March 28th, 2024, 11:31 pmCan’t you just let a guy hope? It's the good ol' "rather than pay you what the job is worth, you should be happy that I decide to give you anything." Add a little bit of the "legend" or "jersey in the rafter" BS, and we've made the perfect case.QuackAttackAggie wrote: ↑March 28th, 2024, 11:58 pmDidn't realize hipster was old enough to pull the this generation fallacy cardhipsterdoofus21 wrote:I can appreciate the sentiment, but this generation is wired different. Then when people don't jump on the offer, it's not because the offer is bad—it's because young folk are ungrateful or short-sighted or conceited with new-fangled technology that makes them want everything now.

The fact that this is still the case is kind of shocking. Doesn't mean there won't still be an exodus, but maybe Sabau was able to buy some time with this group.

What do you mean, you would rather have a few hundred thousand dollars and a car than have your jersey retired here?
